- Homage to Dale Velzy of Manhattan Beach Ca - 1st commercial surfboard shaper. The surf break is on the North shore of Oahu. Off the main strip of famous surf breaks Vland is more secluded. Thank filmmaker Bruce Brown for naming this spot after dale during the filming of the movie "Slippery When Wet".
