Point Dume in LA County
is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Groundswells more frequent than wind swells and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around mid tide. A popular wave that can get crowded. Watch out for dangerous rips.
