Trestles located at the southern most section of Wildwood is actually located within the Cape May Coast Guard base and was off limits until around 1999. Surfers would sneak through 1 mile of poison ivy paths to reach the beach and on Northeast swells West winds would blow the faces wide open in unpopulated surf. It's a much easier trek today with parking, still a bit of a walk but no poison ivy.
